Legalise all illegal businesses operating from residential areas

    I heard that MBPJ is going to iegalise all illegal businesses operating from residential areas by 31 December 2008

    And I also found that the form which require to fill up is "PERMOHONAN LESEN PENJAJA"
    which can be access via below link

    My question is ...

    1. Is it true?
    2. If true, how do we go about items 1, 2, 5 which require in "PERMOHONAN LESEN PENJAJA"
    3. How much we (Penjaja)  require to pay for the licence fee.

    Dear Sir,

    This are the answer for the above questions. If you have any problems, do contact us at 03-79609026/03-79604667.

    Dimaklumkan Majlis ada menimbangkan permohonan permit penjaja sementara bermasa di kawasan kediaman.
     
    Maksud permit penjaja sementara bermasa ialah jenis perniagaan ringan seperti jual kuih, burger, nasi lemak dan lain lain menggunakan sekaki payung dan 2 buah meja sahaja dalam tempoh tidak lebih 4 jam sahaja sehari di lokasi yang dibenarkan oleh Majlis sahaja.
     
    Mereka yang berminat boleh mengisi borang di Bahagian Pelesenan Penjaja, tingkat 3 Menara MBPJ berserta pelan lokasi niaga yang dicadangakn serta gambar di tapak lokasi. Semua permohonan ini akan disemak oleh Jabatan Penguatkuasa untuk penilaian.
     
    Tapak yang diluluskan akan diberi permit penjaja bermasa serta syarat yang lain dan tertakluk permit mesti diperbaharui secara bulanan (monthly basis renewal).
     
    Kadar bayaran permit adalah sebanyak RM 45 sebulan sahaja.

    That is good idea and great move by the council at the time where everyone is fighting hard to survive this economy downturn.  However, I hope the council can identify certain location of the residential area that allow such hawker to operate and also ensure that the place is keep clean after their business hour.

    Good move by the council, keep it up.
