1. I started revovation of my house but realized I should have applied for approval first before starting. I would now like to rectify the situation, what should I do now (process)?
A : For small renovations of terrace houses, there are 2 ways to apply for a permit:
i. if for small renovations such as for porch, rear kitchen, terrace, covering of airwell, there is a hand book known as 'hand book on minor building works' that you (as owner) can apply directly to our dept
ii. otherwise, larger renovations involving major structural changes for terrace houses, bungalows and as such - plans must be submitted along with structure drawings.
ii. it is advisable for you to come to our counter, for a more indepth explanation since I do not have full information on your renovation
